The Barony of Vinländ was established by Duke Alfgeir Bramsson, the Duke of Slesvik in the year 1427 D.H. The Barony of Vinländ is situated on an island a week's journey to the northwest of Four Rivers. It was founded as a defense against Grecan invasion along the River Enns. A predominantly Ottlandish community the presence of outsiders is discouraged and unwelcome. Vinländ's first and founding lord was the Erydia born Constantine Domitianus, a former member of the Legios Immunes and Magistrate Assistant to Magistrate Avery Laurent Briand. Made Baron by Duke Valera his position was, according to rumor, secured for him by his friend Lord Avery Laurent Briand. Constantine Domitianus left behind his Erydian name and joined the Ottlandish noble house of Vildsvin. He is now Constantine Vildsvin. Under Baron Vinländ's command are a number of men both free and lowborn alike. The Baron is young and known for his generosity but is also a student of the law and stern. The people of Vinländ are known for being cooperative and not unruly. They have a strong dislike of Crossroads and all peoples from it. The barony's borders extend to cover a total of 1,920 acres of Ottlandish land.
Player's belonging to this barony are expected to sleep in the Vinländ cabin or tent, to regularly visit and post on the Vinländ forums, and to assist the barony in growing in number of players by recruiting new players to Avegost and by attending regular events. The barony of Vinländ collects an extra fee at Avegost events from its members to cover the costs of costuming and prop purchases for the barony.
